NEW ORLEANS – With offices in New Orleans and Gulfport, Strauss Massey Dinneen (SMD) serves the Gulf South region, covering Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. They have announced that Judy Burnthorn has joined the firm as “Of Counsel” effective March 20.
Burnthorn is a seasoned litigator and trial attorney, experienced in complex commercial litigation, directors and officers liability, fidelity law, insurance coverage, and professional liability. She joined Strauss Massey Dinneen LLC after serving as a partner, Head of Commercial Litigation Department, member of Managing Committee, and General Counsel at another prominent downtown New Orleans law firm.
“Judy is an outstanding attorney and we are lucky to have her become part of the Strauss Massey team,” said David Strauss, Managing Member. “Not only does Judy have the experience to help our clients, but she’s also been a leader in law firm operations and will be invaluable to our plans for growth and expansion.”
Burnthorn graduated from Louisiana State University in 1982 summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, concentrating in political philosophy. She entered Tulane Law School where she served as a member of the Tulane Law Review, was named to the Order of the Coif, and graduated magna cum laude.
