NEW ORLEANS – Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann L.L.C. is pleased to announced that member, Susan Talley, has been named to the New Orleans Business Alliance Board of Directors. The firm shared the announcement in a press release.
“We are honored to have Susan represent Stone Pigman at the New Orleans Business Alliance,” said Michael Walshe, chair of Stone Pigman’s Management Committee. “Susan has spent her career working with the real estate and financing industry to develop and improve business opportunities in New Orleans, and we look forward to seeing the great things she accomplishes in this new role.”
Talley, who joined Stone Pigman in 1981, is chair of the firm’s Business Section and co-chair of its Real Estate Practice Group. Her practice includes all aspects of real estate development, financing, leasing, purchases and sales. She has been heavily involved in many of the major commercial and industrial real estate developments in Louisiana.
Talley serves on the Board of Governors of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and is President of the Louisiana State Law Institute. Talley is also a past chair of the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law and is a past chair of the Association for Real Property and Infrastructure (formerly the Anglo-American Real Property Institute). In addition, she is a founding member of New Orleans CREW and an active member of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, the Bank Counsel Committee of the Louisiana Bankers Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
The New Orleans Business Alliance is one of 62 International Economic Development Council accredited economic development organizations worldwide. Formed in 2010 through a coalition of business and civic leaders to employ the best practices in economic development, the New Orleans Business Alliance aims to position New Orleans as the ideal intersection of commerce and culture.
