NEW ORLEANS – U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu D-LA supporters are receiving email invitations announcing the opportunity to spend an “Intimate Evening with Stevie Wonder” at a fundraiser event to be held at the Windsor Court Hotel, located at 300 Gravier St., on Monday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. A patron reception will follow at 9:00 p.m.
Suggested contribution tickets cost $1,000 each for the general reception, $2,500 each for the patron ticket and $5,000 per patron couple. Funds raised through this event support the Big Easy Committee, a political action committee for Landrieu and the Democratic State Central Committee of Louisiana.
Contributions or gifts to the Big Easy Committee are not tax deductible and federal law prohibits the Big Easy Committee from receiving corporate contributions.
Landrieu faces Republican U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy in a Dec. 6 runoff for her Senate seat.
