NEW ORLEANS – Small Business Saturday is November 28, 2015, and StayLocal is planning 2 event to kick off the local holiday shopping season.
Today, Thursday, November 19, there will be a Small Business Saturday Kick-Off Party at Zèle, 2841 Magazine St., from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Join StayLocal and Good Work Network to get everything you need to make Small Business Saturday a success: bags, buttons, stickers, dog bandanas, crowns and more. You’ll also get the chance to network with fellow local business owners and gather ideas for Small Business Saturday events and promotions.
Plus, you'll be entered to win gift certificates to Feet First Shoes, Handbags & Accessories and All Inclusive Health, and a custom tote bag from Orleans Embroidery. There will be complimentary snacks and wine served at the event.
On Saturday, November 28, there will be a Small Business Saturday Second Line starting at Community Book Center, 2523 Bayou Rd., from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Join Broad Community Connections, WWOZ 90.7 FM, the StayLocal krewe and Soul Brass Band as they dance their way to four trailblazing businesses on historic Bayou Road. Plus, Brandan "BMike" Odums, the artist behind Exhibit Be, will unveil his latest mural.
Shop Small Santa will be coming along to hand out swag and NOLA ChristmasFest tickets as well.
