LACOMBE – A “mega site” with more than 6,000 contiguous acres in Lacombe in St. Tammany Parish is ready for development.
Listing agents and the state economic development officials are hoping Bilten Park will attract advanced manufacturing and logistics companies, although the site can support a number of uses. The 6,031-acre site was recently opened for sale and/or lease and development opportunities.
Located at the intersection of Interstate 12 and LA Hwy. 434 on the Northshore, the site is situated between two major NASA facilities and can support logistics and transportation enterprises. The development-ready site offers critical business amenities such as intermodal accessibility—including 3.5-linear miles of frontage along Interstate 12. Future infrastructure additions are planned.
Stirling Properties and CBRE are co-listing the property.
Louisiana Economic Development Secretary, Don Pierson, said, “Today, investors make decisions quickly and communities must have construction-ready sites. As we engage in recruitment efforts, development-ready sites are a critical component of success. We are confident it will yield a significant new regional investment.”
Bilten Park is envisioned as a premier location for local and national business relocation and growth that can support a diversity of uses.
With a population of approximately 255,000 and a civilian labor force of over 126,000, St. Tammany offers a highly-skilled, highly-trained workforce for businesses in any industry.
St. Tammany Parish boasts a nationally recognized school system, first-rate medical facilities, large population density and high median income.
Bradley Cook, sales and leasing executive with Stirling Properties, said, “We anticipate ample interest in this unique development opportunity in the usage of office parks, logistics centers, manufacturing facilities, healthcare services and more in the near future—from both local and national industries.”
