MANDEVILLE, La. – St. Tammany Corporation has won an award from Business Facilities, a national publication focused on corporate site selection and economic development. The organization was recognized in the Mid-Sized EDO Awards category for the Workforce Roundtable, a collaborative effort to bolster workforce, education and talent development efforts in St. Tammany.
Members of the Workforce Roundtable include executive representatives from Northshore Technical Community College, St. Tammany Parish Public Schools, Tri-Parish Works and Southeastern Louisiana University. Ashley Llewellyn, director of strategic initiatives at St. Tammany Corporation, has led the Workforce Roundtable since its inception and guided its program of work.
“The Workforce Roundtable was created to exist at the intersection of economic development, workforce development, and all levels of education, and its purpose and impact prove it to be a model for strategic engagement among such partners,” said St. Tammany Corporation Board President and NTCC Chancellor Dr. William Wainwright. “I am proud that St. Tammany Corporation has been honored with one of the first ever EDO Awards and delighted that the recognition centers around our collaborative efforts in creating sustainable pathways in education, training, and workforce development.”
