METAIRIE, LA – SRSA Gulf South Management is celebrating Director of Property Management Mike Hilferty’s 15th anniversary with the company. Reps said Hilferty is an expert in his field with 31 years of combined commercial real estate management and leasing experience. In addition to having direct responsibility for a medical office building portfolio and high-rise office tower, he supervises a property management/ engineering staff of 30 employees and is responsible for new business development.
Prior to joining SRSA in 2001, Hilferty was property manager and leasing agent for global real estate broker, Cushman & Wakefield. His primary focus was the management of Medical Office Buildings (MOBs) and regular communication with hospital CEOs, CFOs and physicians. During his three-year tenure, he managed and leased ten MOBs on three different hospital campuses and successfully negotiated the full execution of 70 leases.
Hilferty’s wide range of property management experience includes positions with some of the Gulf South’s most well-known companies, including Corporate Realty, John Kushner & Associates, the Metairie Galleria, and Joseph C. Canizaro Interests. In addition to managing properties throughout Louisiana, he has overseen properties in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
In 2007, Hilferty was Chapter president for the Institute of Real Estate Management Chapter 55 (Louisiana), and in 2009 the Chapter selected him as Property Manager of the year. He received the Certified Property Manager designation (CPM) from IREM in 1991, and also holds the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He is a member of IREM and the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors (NOMAR). Additional achievements include management of at least 50 office buildings, shopping centers, apartments, hotels and industrial properties throughout the aforementioned states.
Hilferty received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Loyola University. He is a licensed real estate agent in Louisiana.
