METAIRIE, LA – SRSA Commercial Real Estate, Inc. Partner and Director Kirsten Early, CCIM, contributed a full page article to the October 2015 issue of Southeast Real Estate Business magazine entitled “New Orleans’ Retail Market Continues To Thrive 10 Years After Hurricane Katrina.”
In it, Early writes, “Despite a low vacancy rate and shortage of commercial opportunities in downtown proper, competition is fierce for quality properties, and new-to-market retailers have moved into the area.”
She also predicts, “The Big Easy is well-positioned for continuous, steady growth.”
Early’s article highlights new projects along Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Jefferson Parish including the new Trader Joe’s and the new $650 million terminal at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
She also notes New Orleans will soon add more than 1,800 residential units, that the World Trade Center building will be redeveloped and outlines the progress of the South Market District.
In her article, Early concludes, “As the New Orleans commercial real estate market continues to thrive 10 years after Hurricane Katrina, the kind of unusual circumstance is emblematic of both the character and competition that continue to distinguish the dynamic state.”
Early joined SRSA Commercial Real Estate in 1998 and has executed real estate strategies for retailers and landlords for the past 17 years. Early specializes in retail tenant representation, tenant site selection representation, land assemblage, disposition of property and participation in the re-development of shopping centers. Her expertise lies in leasing programs for national and regional retail companies. She currently oversees a team of dedicated retail professionals focused on landlord and tenant representation and is the Director of Retail for SRSA.

Early is a graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans and holds a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration (BSBA). In 2002, she received a Certified Commercial Investment Member designation (CCIM), and is a licensed real estate agent in Louisiana.
