NEW ORLEANS – Today, Friday, November 13, 2015, Spirit Airlines is launching ultra-low cost service between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, NV. Additionally, Spirit Airlines announced new nonstop service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in Los Angeles, CA, that will begin April 14, 2016. This new daily flight will depart New Orleans at 4:00 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 6:15 p.m.

Spirit Airlines was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in Miramar, FL. They currently operate more than 370 daily flights to 56 destinations in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean. Spirit offers unbundled, ultra-low fares with a range of optional services for a fee allowing passengers to choose the perks they prefer. This new service to Las Vegas and Los Angeles will bring Spirit’s total number of nonstop destinations from New Orleans to seven routes, including Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale and Houston.
