NEW ORLEANS — Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects is pleased to announce the addition of Heather McLellan as the company’s new Controller. McLellan received her Communications Degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1997 and then completed the Pre-CPA Program at the University of New Orleans in 2005.
Prior to working as an accountant, McLellan worked in video and film production. She moved to New Orleans in 2003 to start her accounting career and worked in public accounting as a CPA for several years before switching to the private realm. “I enjoy working with creative professionals on their financial and accounting challenges,” said McLellan. Having both a creative and technical background made McLellan the perfect addition to the firm.
Although originally from Madison, Wisconsin, McLellan’s family has deep roots in New Orleans. Her great-grandmother was in the second graduating class at Newcomb, and her great-grandfather helped start the streetcar line. She is excited to continue to grow her career in a city so close to her heart.
