Short-Term Rental Committee Hosts Call to Action

NEW ORLEANS – The Short-Term Rental Committee will host the “Get It Right, New Orleans!” short-term rental call to action and sign-up on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. at 2475 Canal St. (in the Council on Aging building).

The New Orleans City Council is working on draft legislation to legalize short-term rentals and reps with the Short-Term Rental Committee say they want to ensure the City serves the best interests of its citizens and neighborhoods endangered by this illegal activity.

The meeting will focus on AirBnB, VRBO, the recently proposed legislation and the looming City Council action, and a summary of current approaches used in other cities that are also being considered for New Orleans.
