HARAHAN, LA – Second Harvest Food Bank’s Community Kitchen, 700 Edwards Ave., in Harahan, will host a group of notable chefs today, Tuesday, Sept. 5 and Wednesday, Sept. 6, to prepare food for Louisianans and Texans affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The group of chefs, coordinated by Amy Sins, owner and chef at Langlois and leader of the New Orleans Cooks – Information & Volunteer Network for Louisiana Flood & Disaster Outreach, will join Second Harvest Community Kitchen director Chef Susan Goss, kitchen staff and dedicated regular kitchen volunteers from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

“Once again, Amy has gathered a group of New Orleans’ most notable chefs to prepare meals for those affected by a natural disaster,” says Chef Susan Goss. “We are thrilled to host these chefs in our own 8,500-square foot production kitchen to prepare meals for victims of Harvey’s devastation. We are preparing some of our New Orleans favorites to send with our love and support.”
