Schneider Launches TV Ads In St. Tammany Council Race

MANDEVILLE, LA – St. Tammany Parish Council candidate Jacki Schneider (R-Dist. 7) launched a series of television ads on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, in her runoff campaign. She is believed to be the first Council candidate on the North Shore to use the medium to reach voters.

"District 7 is large and diverse, and we're using every means possible to reach the voters," Schneider said. "From eastern Mandeville through Lacombe and north to Abita Springs, the district has significant needs that are not being met. I have the skills and experience to address those needs, and I'm excited to move into the final 10 days of this campaign."

Schneider forced the incumbent councilman into a runoff on Saturday, October 24, placing second in a field of five candidates. The incumbent culled only 41 percent of the vote.

"That nearly 60 percent of the voters moved against the current office-holder is very telling, but I'm not focusing my campaign on him," Schneider said. "Instead, I'm addressing the issues people are concerned about – fracking, development and drainage – and focusing on my experience as a 25-year resident of the district who both lives and works in our community."

The new TV spots will air through the Saturday, November 21, runoff election.
