NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has launched the American Supplier Initiative (ASI): a federal government-wide initiative designed to increase government and commercial supply chain opportunities for small firms. The SBA is holding a series of supply chain events, in collaboration with federal agencies and private companies, throughout the country.
The ASI event in New Orleans is being held today, Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the New Orleans Jazz Market, 1436 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in conjunction with the City of New Orleans Mayor’s Office of Supplier Diversity.
The event will host special guests SBA Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet and Mayor Mitch Landrieu, and offer business matchmaking sessions and training resources and the opportunity to meet with buyers.
The small business expo is a free event.
