NEW ORLEANS – The 2017 Great Futures Dinner, presented by Chevron and Samsung, will take place on Tuesday, June 13, at the Astor Crowne Plaza, 739 Canal St., at 5:30 p.m. This year’s event will feature special guest New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees, as well as music, food and a silent auction.
Funds raised from the evening will be used to support Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana’s Summer Camp initiatives, which will benefit local children by ensuring they are provided with a safe, positive and engaging environment and programs that prepare and inspire them to achieve great futures, event organizers said.
Since its inception, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana has given New Orleans’ youth the opportunity to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens through life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, organization reps said.
Chevron’s sponsorship of the Great Futures dinner is part of the company’s commitment to the health and education of children in areas where its employees live and work. “At Chevron, we’re inspired by the tremendous positive impact the Boys and Girls Clubs make in the lives of young men and women,” said Chevron Gulf of Mexico Public Affairs Manager Leah Brown. “They’ve helped thousands of young people overcome obstacles and find their own great future. We’re very proud to be a part of this event and encourage everyone to join us in support Louisiana’s youth.”
