Saints, Pelicans Joining LA Flood Relief Efforts

METAIRIE, LA (AP) — The New Orleans Saints and Pelicans are helping the American Red Cross, United Way and Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans provide food and supplies to flood victims in southeast Louisiana.

The NFL and NBA clubs say their headquarters will serve as a collection point for donated supplies from Wednesday until Thursday, August 25. That timeline overlaps open Saints training camp practices from August 22-24. Fans attending those practices are encouraged to donate.

Saints and Pelicans administrative staff will be collecting specified toiletries; infant, pet and cleaning supplies; bottled water; and non-perishable food items.
