Royal Sonesta New Orleans To Participate In New Orleans Wine And Food Experience Events

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Wine and Food Experience (NOWFE) is celebrating its 25th year of bringing together all the best food and wine the city has to offer. Once again, Royal Sonesta New Orleans, 300 Bourbon St., along with its on-site venues, will be participating in several of the premier culinary events:

 

• Wine Dinners, Thursday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m.

         As part of NOWFE’s Wine Dinners series, Restaurant R’evolution within Royal Sonesta New Orleans will host a luxurious prix fixe dinner. Six courses of signature Cajun and Creole cuisine will be perfectly paired with a wine selection by Julien Pilon, hotel reps said. Guests will enjoy dishes including scallop and peach Crudo, grilled lamb belly and Sassafras quail with seared foie gras.

         Tickets are $150.

• The Big Gateaux Show, Saturday, May 27 at 9:00 p.m.

         Executive Pastry Chef Jackie Lopez will return to compete in The Big Gateaux Show, a pastry competition presenting cocktails, celebrity chefs and a burlesque showcase featuring the host of The Jazz Playhouse’s Burlesque Ballroom, Trixie Minx. Prior to joining Royal Sonesta New Orleans, Lopez twice earned the first competition’s runner-up title.
