Rouses Markets Invite Local Law Enforcers For Free Lunch Friday

NEW ORLEANS – This Friday, July 22, 2016, Rouses Markets is honoring local law enforcers with an invitation to a free lunch.

         The Times-Picayune/ NOLA.com’s Wilborn P. Nobles III reports the grocery chain is showing its gratitude following the fatal shootings of police officers in Baton Rouge.

         Nobles III reports at 64 Rouses locations along the Gulf Coast, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the company will serve law enforcers a free lunch plate, containing white beans, fried catfish and vegetables, and a free fountain drink or 20-ounce bottled water or soft drink.

         Donny Rouse, managing partner of his family's grocery, told Nobles III “This is just one way we are showing our support in the wake of the recent tragic shootings. We have tremendous respect for the men and women who protect and serve everyday.”
