NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The man best known for heading up the organization that runs New Orleans' zoo will receive an award named for one of the city's best known restaurateurs.
Ron Forman, president of the Audubon Nature Institute, will receive the 2015 Ella Brennan Lifetime Achievement in Hospitality Award. The annual award is named in honor of the woman who helped make the family-owned Brennan's restaurant a success before developing Commander's Palace into a world-famous restaurant.
The award is given each year by the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience, which promotes wine and Louisiana cuisine while raising money for numerous nonprofit organizations. Forman was named this year's recipient of the Brennan award on Thursday. He will receive the award at a gala set for Nov. 12.
