Rod Stewart, Jason Derulo To Headline Krewe Of Endymion's Gala

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Legendary rocker Rod Stewart and pop/R&B singer Jason Derulo will headline the Krewe of Endymion's 2018 Extravaganza held after its Mardi Gras parade rolls through New Orleans.

Endymion founder and captain Ed Muniz said Wednesday that Stewart is scheduled to ride in the parade, if the weather is good, and Derulo will probably ride. Kenner native Jon Batiste, the bandleader for "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," also will ride.

Groovy 7 and The Wise Guys also will perform in the Extravaganza, held in the Superdome.

Last year's Extravaganza featured KISS, rapper FloRida and '70s pop group KC and the Sunshine Band.

Endymion is the Carnival season's largest parade with 81 floats, 3,200 riders and a $7 million budget. It rolls Feb. 10, the Saturday before Fat Tuesday.
