Riverwalk Kicks Off New Orleans Fashion Week With Kids Runway Day

NEW ORLEANS – The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk has once again partnered with New Orleans Fashion Week to host the 2nd Annual Kids Runway Day on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the Food Court on the Bayou Play Area, 500 Port of New Orleans Place, at 2:00 p.m.

The event will highlight regional designers who specialize in designs for children including a 10-year-old designer who will debut her fashions at her first runway show.

In addition to Kids Runway Day, the center will also host the Designer2Boutique Expo, a private event sponsored by Stay Local that provides an opportunity for local designers and artisans to present their fashions to prospective buyers and boutique owners.

The expo is slated for Tuesday, March 15, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., but is not open to the public.

Following an $80 million transformation of the property, The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk houses more than 75 popular national brands and local favorites. In addition to being the nation’s first outlet center in a downtown setting, The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk is also the first location in the region for a number of tenants, including Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio, Coach Men’s Factory Store and Tommy Bahama Outlet. In early December, The Howard Hughes Corporation received the Gold award at ICSC’s 2015 U.S. Design & Development awards program for The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk for redevelopment, the highest award in the industry.
