NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Louisiana's revenue department says its New Orleans office is resuming full customer service operations five days a week.
The Department of Revenue said in a news release Tuesday that the New Orleans office instituted one-day-a-week, appointment-only operations several years ago.
Secretary of Revenue Kimberly Lewis Robinson credits the "stabilization" of the state budget with enabling the office to open and provide full service five days a week.
Now, the department says, the office in Benson Tower in downtown New Orleans is open for walk-in customers. Among the services available: filing and paying of business taxes, submission of completed individual state income tax returns, boat registrations and resolution of bank levies and wage garnishments.
