NEW ORLEANS — Restaurant R’evolution, the renowned fine-dining establishment located at 777 Bienville St. inside the newly-renovated Royal Sonesta New Orleans hotel, commemorates five years in the heart of the French Quarter.
Recognized by OpenTable, The Daily Meal, Thrillist, New Orleans Magazine and Eater.com, the award-winning innovative eatery invites guests to celebrate five years with a special $55 anniversary dinner menu. This exclusive prix fixe meal will be offered June through August and treats guests to some of R'evolution's signature dishes including duo canapé, corn and crab cappuccino, simply green salad and bird in a cage topped off with white chocolate bread pudding crème brûlée.
Founded in June 2012 and overseen by world-renowned Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto, Restaurant R’evolution offers an unparalleled fine dining experience, evolving the food of the seven nations that formed Louisiana’s culture and cuisine, restaurant reps said. The elegant 6,000 square-foot fine dining restaurant is the first joint venture for Chefs Folse and Tramonto's restaurant development company, Home on the Range.
“Restaurant R’evolution is part of a larger strategy to bring the best of New Orleans and Louisiana to each guest at Royal Sonesta New Orleans,” said hotel General Manager Al Groos. “With the addition of R’evolution and its superior cuisine to our family, we can truly say we offer the best of the city all under one roof.”
Ranked one of New Orleans’ Best Restaurants by Zagat, R’evolution is now internationally known for its imaginative reinterpretations of classic Creole and Cajun cuisine. In a setting that blends antique architectural details of grand French Quarter homes with contemporary accents, the restaurant also features a selection of 10,000 bottles of wine from throughout the world. Guests can get a glimpse of the expansive selection with select $5 wines by the glass to pair with Friday lunch or Sunday’s lively jazz brunch during the summer promotion.
“Louisiana is packed with culinary influence, and we sought to showcase the most delicious parts,” said Chef Tramonto. “There’s nothing better than sharing your good food with the world, and everyone should experience an evening with us at Restaurant R’evolution.”
R’evolution’s new General Manager Luis Ochoa will oversee the celebration, accompanied by the culinary creativity of Chef de Cuisine Jana Billiot, Pastry Chef Blake Abene, and the expertise of Wine Director Steven Russett and Bar R’evolution Manager Patrick Sterling, reps said.
“Restaurant R’evolution invites guests to celebrate Louisiana’s culture and cuisine and indulge in our five-year anniversary,” said Chef Folse. “We’re proud to present a melding of distinct culinary styles and interpretations of New Orleans classics incorporating indigenous ingredients that have defined Louisiana cooking for centuries. It’s been a pleasure to serve New Orleans for the past five years. The best is yet to come!”
