Fun Fact
My favorite book is Winston Churchill’s The Second World War. His personality and humor comes through in a book of such historical significance. Churchill wrote the book, with a team of assistants, using both his own notes and privileged access to official documents. I think it is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of the war and the events that shaped the modern world.

How do you maintain a balance between your personal and professional life?

Healthy balance can be challenging, especially as a CEO. However, I believe it’s important to prioritize a healthy lifestyle and find ways to disconnect from work to avoid burnout. I maintain balance by setting boundaries and scheduling time for personal activities and weekly mass. I also delegate tasks and responsibilities to avoid taking on too much and ensure that I have time to focus on personal life.

I’m not always successful, but I do my best to disconnect from work during non-business hours, such as avoiding checking emails during family time. Personal training sessions keep my exercise and healthy eating habits on track plus maintain my mental well-being, which helps me to be more productive and focused during work hours.

Which changes or innovations do you hope to see for your company or industry in the next five years?

First, greater emphasis on cybersecurity—as the threat landscape continues to evolve, I hope to see more focus on cybersecurity across all industries. This will drive demand for our services as an MSSP and enable us to provide even more comprehensive security solutions to our clients.

Second, increased use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)—AI has the potential to revolutionize the IT industry, and I hope to see more widespread adoption of AI-powered technologies to improve efficiency and automation.

Third, continued growth of cloud computing—the shift towards cloud computing is expected to continue, and I anticipate that more businesses will move towards hybrid and multi-cloud environments. As a result, we will continue to adapt our services to provide effective management and security solutions for these complex environments.

Finally, greater use of automation and robotics—automation and robotics have revolutionized the way we work, and I hope to see more widespread adoption of these technologies in the IT industry. This will enable us to provide more efficient and cost-effective services to our clients.

In your experience, what are the keys to maintaining a healthy and productive company culture?

The keys I’ve discovered include collaboration with the team, recognizing and rewarding employee contributions, providing effective communication, and empowering employees to take ownership of their work, make decisions, and contribute to the company’s success. Every day we have a stand up meeting and share something we are grateful for prior to discussing numbers and obstacles. Being grateful is a cornerstone of our culture.

Who have been some of the greatest influences on your career or leadership style?

Without a doubt, Winston Churchill—because despite all the criticism he endured, Winston Churchill embraced his challenges and his mission. I find his tenacity inspirational and appreciate the humor he often wove into his teachings and speeches.
