Renaissance Publishing LLC Nabs 42 Awards at 59th Annual Press Club of New Orleans Excellence in Journalism Awards Gala

NEW ORLEANS – Renaissance Publishing LLC received 42 awards on July 8 at the 59th Annual Press Club of New Orleans Excellence in Journalism Awards. The awards were held at the New Orleans Downtown Marriot at the Convention Center and the club’s membership spans media including TV, digital, radio, print and public relations.

The breakdown of 42 awards earned by Renaissance Publishing includes 14 first place, 12 second place and 15 third place, plus the Ashton Phelps Sr. Memorial Award going to Editor in Chief and Vice President Errol Laborde for Editorial Writing. Each of the company’s eligible titles including, New Orleans Magazine, Louisiana Life, Biz New Orleans, New Orleans Bride won in multiple categories, as did MyNewOrleans.Com and BizNewOrleans.Com, several of the sites’ blogs, plus the corresponding email newsletters and social media channels. Laborde later expressed his appreciation to the Press Club of New Orleans for making the awards possible.

The Excellence in Journalism Awards are judged by the members of 12 press clubs across the United States. For this year’s awards, judges hailed from the Florida Press Club, Houston Press Club, Idaho Press Club, Los Angeles Press Club, Milwaukee Press Club, Pittsburgh – The Press Cub of Western Pennsylvania, Press Club of Cleveland, Press Club of Southeast Texas, San Diego Press Club San Francisco – Peninsula Press Club, Syracuse Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists – Utah.
