NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Chamber and Fidelity Bank P.O.W.E.R. launched registration for the 2020 Women’s Leadership Conference, which will take place on March 19, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Conference organizers also announced the event’s keynote speaker: Johanne R. Bélanger, vice president, field marketing for U.S. & Canada, Marriott International. Additional details were shared in a press release.

“The Women’s Leadership Conference is something that we launched last year with great fanfare,” said executive vice president and COO of the New Orleans Chamber Sandra Lindquist. “It’s been inspiring to see women of all different backgrounds and expertise come together to share thoughts and ideas. It’s important for our city that women have tools and opportunities to succeed, this conference provides just that.”

In collaboration with 16 local organizations, the conference will feature professional development experience for women and multiple breakout sessions sponsored by network partners for attendees to choose from, a sit-down lunch and a keynote presentation. Johanne R. Bélanger will discuss the realities women face in the workplace, the challenges women face both personally and professionally, and the importance of maintaining a work-life balance.

“It was pretty shocking to learn that there are more CEOs in the world named ‘John’ than there are female CEOs,” said Elizabeth Broekman, Fidelity Bank associate vice president and director of P.O.W.E.R. “It’s so important that women have the knowledge and confidence to take chances in business and that they have access to the resources needed to succeed.”

Those interested in attending the conference can purchase individual tickets or choose from various sponsorship packages. Pricing information and package details are available online at www.powerupnola.com.
