RES/CON is considered the premier annual international conference on the practice of successful resiliency and disaster management in an evolving global environment. Organizers said this 3-day conference will bring a previously unseen mix of disaster and resilience practitioners to explore profound and powerful topics that impact communities and economies worldwide. RES/CON will offer programming that touches on a wide range of topics: emergency management, coastal restoration and water management, technology, homeland security, first response, vulnerable communities, and all aspects of resilience and disaster management.
“RES/CON will provide a new and unmatched platform for international experts to share leading ideas, demonstrate best practices, collaborate on projects, and generally educate each other on building stronger communities,” said Michael Hecht, President and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. “Located in New Orleans, RES/CON will also feature lessons learned and the resiliency practices of a region that continues a historical rebound from major natural and man-made challenges.”
