This year, Best Title & Co. celebrates five years of making the title and closing experience more modern, convenient and inclusive across South Louisiana. As founder and CEO, Best leads a growing team focused on creating a closing experience that meets clients where they are, whether through easy-to-use technology, flexible closing locations or personalized service. Her background in residential real estate gave her a firsthand understanding of the challenges buyers and real estate professionals can face, and she founded Best Title & Co. to make one of life’s biggest financial transactions feel less intimidating and more accessible.
What are you most excited about in the coming year?
I’m especially excited to serve as the 2027 president-elect of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® and prepare to serve as Louisiana State President in 2028. I’m looking forward to connecting with real estate professionals across the state, creating opportunities for women to grow as leaders and business owners, and helping build an industry that better reflects the communities we serve.
I’m also excited about the continued growth of Best Title & Co., particularly in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge markets. Expanding our presence in these communities will allow us to deepen our work creating homeownership opportunities and providing resources to underserved communities, while continuing to make the closing process more accessible and inclusive.
What is the biggest challenge facing your industry today, and is anything being done about it?
One of the biggest challenges facing our industry is ensuring that the opportunity to own a home and build the generational wealth that can come with it, is accessible to everyone. For many families, particularly in historically underserved communities, there are still significant barriers to homeownership, from a lack of financial education and representation to the rising costs associated with buying and maintaining a home.
We also need greater representation and resources for Black professionals across the real estate industry, including Realtors, lenders, appraisers and inspectors. At Best Title & Co., we work with community partners to provide education around financial literacy, homeownership and protecting generational wealth, while creating a more supportive and representative experience for clients and professionals alike. There is still much more work to do, but expanding access, education and representation can help create a stronger and more inclusive real estate industry. I believe the real estate industry has a responsibility to be part of the solution.
