Rapides Police Jury To Meet About Coliseum Parking Lot

ALEXANDRIA, LA (AP) — The Rapides Parish Police Jury will meet in special session Thursday on the Rapides Parish Coliseum parking lot issue.

The first item on the meeting agenda calls for the jury to discuss an intergovernmental agreement with the city of Alexandria on the parking lot.

The Town Talk’s Richard Sharkey reports the second item is for the jury to go into executive session to discuss the jury's lawsuit against the city.

The jury sued the city over the dispute concerning the parking lot.

The city and Police Jury jointly own property needed for parking related to the $23 million Coliseum renovation project, and they have been unable to resolve their differences on the use of the property.
