NEW ORLEANS – Ellen C. Rains has joined the New Orleans office of Ogletree Deakins as an associate and member of the employment law and litigation practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Rains represented clients in a variety of litigation matters. Rains received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Alabama, where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Rains received her law degree from the University of Virginia, where she was the president of the Virginia Law Women. She served as the First Round Presiding Justice for the William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition.
Rains is admitted to practice in Louisiana, Alabama, the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana and the U.S. District Court, Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Alabama.
