NEW ORLEANS – The state’s first PrimoHoagies restaurant will open Nov. 30 at 8228 Oak Street. The 1,500-square-foot store, owned by Tulane grad William Kulick, is expected to employ about 20 people.
Founded in 1992 in Philadelphia, PrimoHoagies now has more than 100 locations nationwide. The fast casual spot specializes in Italian-style hoagies, cheesesteaks, hot meatball sandwiches, wraps, vegetarian options and antipasti salads.
“Whether it’s a poboy, muffaletta or a banh mi, enjoying sandwiches of all kinds is a New Orleans tradition,” said Kulick in a press release. “It’s been great to see that culture growing and evolving over the past few years and we’re excited to contribute. Whether tailgating or parading, there’s always room for more food at the table and we hope we can be there to help New Orleanians celebrate.”
The restaurant will offer dine-in seating, takeout, delivery and catering. Hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
