NEW ORLEANS — On Nov. 1, Porteous, Hainkel & Johnson LLP will formally open an office at 200 Beaullieu Drive in Lafayette, Louisiana.
“Over the past few years, we have looked into the Lafayette market due to pressing inquiries from our client community,” said Chase Chassaignac, the firm’s managing partner, in a press release. “The opening of a fifth PH&J location, notably in the firm’s 95th year, is a great milestone and a true testament to the hard work and dedication of all.”
The new location joins existing PH&J offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Thibodaux and Covington. Katherine “Katie” Martin, formerly a partner of Martin Mayard, is joining the firm and will lead the new office. She has practiced in Lafayette for nearly three decades.
“The firm has built a terrific relationship with Katie over the years,” said Chassaignac. “Her vast courtroom experience, coupled with her professional reputation and deep ties to the Lafayette community, make her a natural addition to the firm.”
Since its founding in 1928, Porteous, Hainkel & Johnson has focused on the defense of insurance companies and their insureds.
