GULFPORT, MS (AP) — The Port of Gulfport says the state has approved its purchase of the 116-acre Huntington Ingalls Gulfport Composite Facility off of Seaway Road.
A news release says the Board of Commissioners for the Mississippi State Port Authority OK'd the deal Friday.
The port's executive director and CEO, Jonathan Daniels, says the expansion is a key in current lease negotiations with Topship LLC.
Topship is an affiliate of Louisiana-based Edison Chouest (SHWEST) Offshore.
