METAIRIE, LA – The Political Action Committee (PAC) of the Jefferson Chamber announced the endorsements of candidates on the Saturday, October 24, 2015, ballot.
“The upcoming elections are very important to our parish and state’s future,” said Charlotte Burnell, PAC Chairwoman. “We believe it is imperative to be part of the process in electing good public stewards who will make good tough decisions. We need a strong vision for both our parish and state and are standing behind those who we think give us the best opportunity for a pro-business agenda.”
The candidates receiving the Jefferson Chamber’s PAC endorsement include:
• LA Senate District 9 – Conrad Appel
• LA Representative District 83 – Robert Billiot
• LA Representative District 94 – Nick Lorusso
• Sheriff – Newell Normand
• Councilman District 1 – Ricky Templet
• Councilman District 2 – Paul Johnston
• Councilman District 5 – Mike Thomas and Jennifer Van Vrancken (Dual Endorsement)
• Councilman at Large Division A – Chris Roberts
• BESE District 1 – Jim Garvey
• BESE District 2 – Kira Orange Jones
