NEW ORLEANS – Tonight, The Center for Entrepreneurship and Community Development of Loyola and the Loyola Entrepreneur Association will host Pitch Loyola – where Loyola students get to test their new venture ideas in a live shark tank style event.
Pitch Loyola takes place Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Miller Hall 112, at Loyola University, 6363 St. Charles Ave., from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
The winner will receive a $250 cash prize to help seed their venture. An additional $100 audience favorite prize will be awarded by members of the audience.
The event will also feature a keynote lecture by Aaron Dirks, founder of Posigen Solar that is working to make solar energy affordable to the masses. He recently received a $40M equity investment from Goldman Sachs Urban Investments Group.
Dirks will comment on how to develop a resilient entrepreneurial mindset, while building an organization that can thrive in overcoming challenges and building to scale.
