Phelps Dunbar Attorney Receives Frank L. Maraist Award For Legal Excellence, Service To Community

NEW ORLEANS – MaryJo Roberts, an associate in Phelps Dunbar’s New Orleans office, received the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel’s inaugural Frank L. Maraist award at the organization’s award dinner August 27.

         The award recognizes young lawyers – younger than 39 or with six or less years of experience – who demonstrate professional excellence and service to the profession and the bar, a commitment to pro bono work and community service, and contribute to furthering the ideals of the legal profession.

         Roberts is involved with many of the firm’s pro bono efforts and serves on the board of directors for InspireNOLA Charter Schools.
