NEW ORLEANS – The Pay It Forward Happy Hour continues at the Eiffel Society, 2040 St. Charles Ave., on Monday, December 14, 2015, at 5:30 p.m., to benefit The Brain Injury Association of Louisiana (BIALA).
The BIALA is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on creating a better future for Louisiana citizens with brain injuries and/ or spinal cord injuries through education, community support groups, obtaining services and advocacy.
Their mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals impacted by brain injuries and/ or spinal cord injuries, and to advance brain and spinal cord injury prevention, treatment, support and education.
BIALA’s programs include:
• Annual Conference – Each year the BIALA hosts a conference to bring together survivors, caregivers, families, vendors and professionals throughout the state where speakers discuss the latest technologies, therapeutic practices and survivor stories.
• Support Groups – The BIALA provides funding and resources for support groups throughout the state of Louisiana and attend support groups to assess the community's needs to provide them with the latest resources.
• Resource Center – The BIALA’s Resource Center consists of State, Regional and National Resource Guides, which they deliver to support groups and rehabilitation centers throughout the state. They also have an Emergency Hotline.
The Pay It Forward Happy Hour series literally pays it forward as the Eiffel Society pledges to donate up to 20% of the bar sales to a specific fundraising organization for the night.
Drink specials usually include $5 drinks, $5 sangrias and $3 domestic beers.
Their motto is “The more you drink, the better you make the world.”
