Had a hectic week? Looking to escape for a few hours and gain a little perspective? The City of Gretna Public Observatory (1 Copernicus St.) welcomes visitors of all ages to enjoy a free evening under the stars gazing at planets, nebulae and galaxies with Manager/Operator Ron Marcella. The 16-foot dome is open 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and Wednesday nights (weather permitting) through March 11, and 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. starting March 12.
