NEW ORLEANS – The Orleans Parish School Board’s (OPSB) network schools convocation will kick-off the 2016-17 school year Thursday, August 11, 2016, at McDonogh 35 Senior High School’s auditorium, 4000 Cadillac St. at 8:45 a.m.
Those scheduled to attend include OPSB Superintendent Dr. Henderson Lewis Jr., OPSB board members and OPSB network schools faculty and staff.
Superintendent Lewis will deliver opening and closing remarks expressing his enthusiasm and goals for the upcoming school year. Event programming includes a presentation of colors, pledge, national anthem performance by a student and employee choir and special video presentations. OPSB employees will also be recognized for perfect attendance during the celebration.
