OPSB Gives Superintendent Lewis, Jr. Positive Evaluation On 1st Year’s Performance

NEW ORLEANS – The Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) announced it has completed its confidential evaluation of OPSB Superintendent Henderson Lewis Jr.’s first-year performance, and found Lewis has accomplished the specific performance objectives assessed to date.

         The Board will evaluate the remaining performance objectives when pertinent data is available.

         OPSB President Seth Bloom said, “The evaluation was conducted in accordance with state law, Board policy and the terms of the Superintendent’s contract. The Board is pleased with his performance in meeting the targets in his contract. The Board looks forward to Dr. Lewis’ continued focus of engaging the community as he implements the plan of unifying Orleans Parish public schools under one governance. As always, we thank Dr. Lewis for his continued service and his leadership.”
