OPSB Dr. Lewis, Jr. To Present Progress On First 180 Days As Superintendent

NEW ORLEANS – Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) Superintendent Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr. will present a progress report on his first 180 days on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Mary Bethune Accelerated School’s Gymnasium, 2401 Humanity St., from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

         At the start of his tenure, Superintendent Lewis designed an entry plan creating a framework for the first 180 days of his term as Superintendent of Schools for the Orleans Parish School Board. The plan was based on his current knowledge of the school district, research of best educational practices, his experience as an educational leader and the established vision, mission, motto and strategic goals and priorities of the Board.

         Superintendent Lewis will speak of the progress made during his term thus far, as well as his outlook for the future of the Orleans Parish School Board.
