O’Neal, Brees to Coach Opposing Teams in ‘Celebrity Crunch Classic’

NEW ORLEANS — Shaquille O’Neal and Drew Brees will coach opposing teams in the Kellogg’s-sponosored Celebrity Crunch Classic basketball game, scheduled for April 3 at the Xavier University Convocation Center. Tipping off at noon, the light-hearted competition is one of many corporate events connected to the 2022 NCAA Men’s Final Four basketball showdown, which is taking place April 2-4 at the Caesars Superdome.

O’Neal, a former LSU star and pro basketball legend, will lead “Team Cheez-It,” while future Hall of Famer Brees will call the shots for “Team Pringles.” The sports icons will coach celebrity teams. Fans are invited to attend. Entry to the event is free on a first-come, first-served basis on game day.

“We look forward to watching Shaq and Drew head up Team Cheez-It and Team Pringles at this year’s Celebrity Crunch Classic,” said Zion Doran, senior director of promotions at Kellogg, in a press release. “Cheez-It and Pringles know that delicious snacks are an essential part of fans’ college basketball-watching experience, whether they are cheering on their favorite celebrities in New Orleans or throwing a tournament gathering at home.”
