NEW ORLEANS – Becker's Hospital Review has recognized Ochsner Medical Center – Jefferson Highway as one of the “100 Great Hospitals in America” for 2017. This is the sixth consecutive year that Ochsner Medical Center – Jefferson Highway has been recognized with this award and is the only Louisiana hospital named to this list.
According to Becker’s Hospital Review, the hospitals included on this list are renowned for excellence, home to many medical and scientific breakthroughs, provide best-in-class patient care and are stalwarts of their communities, serving as academic hubs or local mainstays.

Ochsner reps said the Becker's Hospital Review editorial team analyzed data from reputable sources including U.S. News & World Report, Truven Health Analytics' 100 Top Hospitals, HealthGrades, Magnet Recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, The Leapfrog Group and several other independent sources to establish the 2017 list.
