NEW ORLEANS – Ochsner Health System announced it has acquired New Orleans Urgent Care increasing access to non-emergency care in the Greater New Orleans area.
New Orleans Urgent Care will become part of Ochsner Health System, and Ochsner will manage the day-to-day operations at its two locations at 900 Magazine St. in the Warehouse District and 201 Decatur St. in the French Quarter.
“With the acquisition of New Orleans Urgent Care, Ochsner continues to expand access to convenient, quality care close to home for non-emergent illness or injury,” said Dawn Pevey, system vice-president of service lines at Ochsner Health System. “Now with 14 urgent care locations across the greater New Orleans, North Shore and Bayou regions, Ochsner is committed to ensuring that the most appropriate level of care is accessible to patients when and where they need it.”
According to Becker’s Healthcare Review, the number of urgent care facilities is expected to increase 5.8 percent each year through 2018 to meet the growing patient demand. Through Ochsner’s urgent care clinics, patients experience a coordination of resources that ensure seamless access to the depth and breadth of all Ochsner services.
