NEW ORLEANS – Ochsner Baptist, a campus of Ochsner Medical Center, has opened a new clinic specifically for urgent obstetric or gynecological needs. This new clinic location provides a new option for patients seeking timely women’s care without scheduling an appointment in advance.
“This new clinic represents our commitment to providing women with multiple options to access high quality healthcare for their specific needs,” said Lisa Pellerin, vice president of Women’s Services, Ochsner Health System. “Through Ochsner Baptist Women’s Walk-In Care, patients now have fast and convenient access to care at a minutes notice.”
This new clinic offers same-day access to services including: urinary tract infection care, vaginal discharge screenings, vaginal spotting care and STD testing. The Walk-In Women’s Care team can also assist with urgent pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, decreased fetal movement, vaginal spotting and contractions.
Patients of Ochsner Baptist Women’s Walk-In Care, and all patients throughout Ochsner Health System, have access to MyOchsner, a secure online tool that allows patients to communicate with physicians, schedule online appointments, view lab and imaging results, prescription refills and more, reps said. In addition, Ochsner physicians all use the same, industry-leading, electronic medical record system – Epic. That means no matter which Ochsner facility a patient chooses to visit, the medical staff at that facility will have full access to the patient’s medical record, ensuring the highest quality of care.
Ochsner Baptist has provided quality healthcare to generations of families, a tradition that dates back to 1926, reps said. The Women’s Pavilion at Ochsner Baptist offers services including: OB/GYN clinics, labor and delivery, maternal fetal medicine, women’s walk-in clinic and gynecologic robotic surgery, as well as the level III regional neonatal intensive care unit – the highest level designation awarded by the state of Louisiana.
Ochsner Baptist’s Women’s Walk-In Care is located at 2820 Napoleon Ave., Ste. 140. The facility is fully accredited and staffed by more than 600 trusted, skilled physicians and specialists, featuring a 24-hour emergency department, all-private inpatient rooms, an intensive care unit, state-of-the-art operating rooms and two cardiac catheterization labs, reps said. Ochsner Baptist is also home to a health center with physicians’ offices such as primary care, urology, orthopedics, back and spine services, pain management and many more.
Ochsner Women’s Services are also conveniently available at its hospitals on the West Bank, the North Shore and in Kenner, Raceland and Baton Rouge, in addition to Ochsner Baptist’s Women’s Services Clinic in Metairie.
