PONCHATOULA — Surface Testing Solutions has reached a mass distribution deal for its COVID-19 test kits.
“STS tests ensure clients and business owners alike of a safe environment and peace of mind,” Surface Testing Solutions CEO Matthew Lamp said. “Our ‘Covid Clean’ stickers broadcast that employee and customer safety is the top priority while offsetting legal liability.”
STS molecular testing detects the presence of COVID-19 on high-touch surfaces at businesses. Biosafe Supplies, a medical logistics and supply company, will distribute more than 30,000 of the test kits to more than 20 Central Florida hospitals and hundreds of smaller medical suppliers and distributors.
“We’re behind any product that can give people peace of mind in the workplace,” Biosafe Supplies COO Nadine Monico said. “We want people to feel confident that their facility is COVID-free. We’re looking forward to utilizing these test kits.”
In addition, Surface Testing Solutions recently reached a deal with Hammond-based Pierce Aviation to use the test kits on its fleet of 16 jets and incoming flights from high- risk areas. Pierce Aviation receives a wide range of flights, from military to private companies such as Wheels Up.
“In aviation, we don’t just make adjustments, we verify the results,” Pierce Aviation CEO Aaron Pierce said. “This testing gives us the ability to verify the effectiveness of our sterilization procedures.”
