NEW ORLEANS – The new luxury NOPSI Hotel, located at 317 Baronne St., in the former headquarters of New Orleans Public Service, Inc., the city’s previous utility provider, is looking for more than 200 service professionals to form an electrifying team. The hotel is hiring management and hourly positions in all departments, including administrative, operations, front desk, guest services, housekeeping and event management.
The NOPSI Hotel, New Orleans Job Fair will take place Saturday, April 22, at the New Orleans Exchange Center, 935 Gravier St., from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
This distinctive, historic New Orleans landmark on the corner of Baronne and Union streets is being reimagined as a magnetic and culturally diverse luxury hotel, reps said. Scheduled to open in June, NOPSI Hotel, situated in the heart of the Central Business District, features 217 rooms with 76 suites. It will offer guests the most stylish accommodations in the city paired with authentic and gracious hospitality, reps said.
In addition to service professionals for the hotel, the food and beverage outlets are also seeking congenial members to join the NOPSI Hotel family.
NOPSI’s lively and signature restaurant, Public Service, will be the CBD’s gathering place featuring an ever-changing farm-to-table menu that pays respects to the culinary heritage of the region through its use of indigenous ingredients, hotel reps said.
The hotel’s classic lobby and patio will be the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee, an afternoon glass of wine, or bar fare and drinks after work, they said. NOPSI Hotel’s dynamic rooftop pool and cafe will offer a year-round hotspot for hotel guests, visitors and locals with a unique view of the city’s diverse skyline. By day, the pool will be a peaceful oasis for hotel guests, but after 5:00 p.m., the bar will transform into one of the most exclusive establishments in the city, reps said.
