NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Police Department’s Fourth District has officially kicked off its 3rd Annual Toy Drive, and all items collected will go to needy children in the district.
The Fourth District is asking the community to help make a child’s holiday season special by donating new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed to area children who otherwise wouldn’t receive holiday gifts this year.
Drop off unwrapped new gifts or toys anytime until Monday Dec. 12, at the NOPD Fourth District station located at 2405 Sanctuary Dr. Or, if you aren’t able to drop-off a toy in person, Fourth District officers will pick them up from your home or business. Call Deltanya Dunlap or Officer Qiana T. Lewis at (504) 658-6460 or send an email to nopd4thdistrict@nola.gov with pickup information.
Along with protecting the citizens of New Orleans, NOPD's Fourth District makes every effort to protect the community as well as to support the community, NOPD reps said. The holiday season offers NOPD officers a chance to interact and share gifts with young people throughout the district.
