NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry’s (LABI’s) Free Enterprise Awards are an opportunity to honor LABI members who demonstrate exemplary commitment and contributions to the state’s business climate and who play an integral role in their local communities’ growth and sustainability.
All LABI members are eligible and the selection committee will determine winners based on the content of the application materials.
LABI will recognize honorees during an awards ceremony on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 16, at the APTIM Headquarters (formerly CB&I) located at 4171 Essen Lane, in Baton Rouge.
This year’s award categories include:
• The Ed Steimel Achievement Award
Honors long-standing membership in and service to LABI and recognizes individuals who have committed extraordinary time and effort to improve the quality of life in Louisiana.
• Free Enterprise Champions
Honors individuals who demonstrate exemplary commitment and contributions to the state’s business climate and their local communities.
Categories Include:
Businessperson
Young Businessperson (under age 40)
• Companies of the Year
Recognizes outstanding achievement among Louisiana companies.
Categories Include:
Companies with fewer than 100 employees
Companies with more than 100 employees
• Manufacturers of the Year
Recognizes manufacturer growth and community contributions in Louisiana.
Categories Include:
Manufacturers with fewer than 100 employees
Manufacturers with more than 100 employees
• Workforce Innovator(s) of the Year
Honors individuals or organizations that have excelled in creating, implementing or supporting a high-caliber education and/ or workforce development initiative aimed at closing the employment gap.
• Economic Development Partner(s) of the Year
This category recognizes exceptional leadership by an economic development or business organization.
