NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) announced Stephanie Bell has joined the team as investor relations director. For the past three years Bell oversaw outreach for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, managing communication, recruitment, alumni engagement and ecosystem partnerships.
Bell said she is eager to take her career a step further in economic development and lead NOLABA's investor relations.
"I’m excited to be a liaison between investors and NOLABA,” Bell said. “I think I have a lot to bring to the table in terms of creating value for the investors and being able to communicate what they feel are important aspects of economic development. The City of New Orleans is very involved in my past organization – the 10,000 Small Businesses program – along with a private foundation, Delgado Community College and the small business community. I was amazed at the impact we created when these private and public entities came together. Having that experience and seeing the great work we did together will really help me in my position here. I am ready to get to work!"
Bell is a Slidell native and earned her bachelor's of science and master's degrees in business administration from Southern Mississippi. She said she chose New Orleans to grow her career because of the exciting job opportunities, diverse culture, access to an international airport (to fuel her travel addiction) and of course, the food.
"We in New Orleans always show up to get the work done, and we can’t help but have fun doing it," she said. "If you are willing to plug into the network here, there are endless possibilities.”
